This week our podcast presents Luis von Ahn, assistant professor of computer science at Carnegie Mellon university. He and his team have developed what they call "Games with a purpose" to help improve computer intelligence.

The site provides what they say are "fun tasks that are easy for humans -- but beyond the capability of computers."Among them are two imaging-specific games:ESP, in which players guess what words another will use to describe an image-- which helps create descriptions of uncaptioned images.Matchin, in which players are asked which of two images they like best -- which helps computers recognize what images people prefer.

Consumer online video editing site One True Media noticed that many businesses were using its service for their advertising -- and so the company launched SpotMixer, a video ad creation site aimed specifically at small- and medium-sized businesses.

We'll talk with CEO Mark Moore about how these tools can benefit your business, and how you can work with them to help your existing customers as well."
